Without fear, what need is there of hope? Without hope, fear is pointless, it has no punch, for there is no alternative. Both I believe are essential to the human psyche yet neither are rational. They both concern events that have not happened. They are the ying and the yang, id and ego, two side of the same coin. As for passion, both fuel that fire.

Can we still have hope- even if the passion is gone, or has taken some other form?
Lava…once liquid fire…then cools and becomes like stone? hmmm…
